Description

Delicious and easy-to-make crockpot BBQ chicken, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed
  • 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ recommended)
  • 1/2 cup fat-free Italian dressing
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar (reduce to 1/8 cup or omit for less sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Liberally spray the inside of a large crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, then place them in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring they are well-coated.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 2.5 to 3 hours, or on low for 5 to 6 hours, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Serve the chicken whole or shred it while in the crockpot to soak up the sauce.

Notes

Serve with buns for sandwiches or alongside rice, salads, or tacos.
