Ingredients

Scale

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits, quartered

1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

3 cups milk

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C); grease a 9×13 dish.

2. Cook sausage in a skillet until browned. Drain grease.

3. Stir in flour; cook 1–2 minutes.

4. Whisk in milk gradually; cook until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

5. Layer half the biscuits in dish. Pour gravy over them. Sprinkle with half the cheese. Add remaining biscuits.

6. Bake 25 minutes until biscuits are golden.

Swap cheddar with mozzarella or Monterey Jack for a different flavor.
