Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13 inch cake pan.
- Mix the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl until combined.
- Pour this mixture into the prepared pan and bake according to package instructions until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Poke holes all over the top of the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
- Combine the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate syrup in a separate bowl and pour this mixture over the poked cake, ensuring it fills the holes.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Top it with whipped topping and drizzle with additional chocolate syrup.
- Dust with cocoa powder before serving, if desired.
