Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine flour, melted butter, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
  4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Mix shredded coconut, chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  6. Add chopped nuts if using.
  7. Pour the filling evenly over the hot crust.
  8. Bake again for 20 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
