Description

Delicious homemade crab cakes inspired by Joe’s Crab Shack, packed with flavor and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Remoulade sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the lump crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley. Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the crab cakes to the skillet in batches, cooking until golden-brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with lemon wedges and remoulade sauce.

Notes

Let the patties chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before frying to help them hold their shape.
