Delicious homemade crab cakes inspired by Joe’s Crab Shack, packed with flavor and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 pound lump crab meat
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Oil for frying
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Remoulade sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the lump crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley. Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the crab cakes to the skillet in batches, cooking until golden-brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and remoulade sauce.
Notes
Let the patties chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before frying to help them hold their shape.
