Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree
  • Strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine the milk and eggs, then add the dry ingredients to form a batter.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  4. Use a piping bag to squeeze the batter into the hot oil, forming fry shapes. Fry until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
  5. For the dip, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and whipped cream until smooth. Stir in the strawberry puree.
  6. Serve the funnel cake fries with the strawberry cheesecake dip and garnish with fresh strawberries.

Notes

Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to prevent greasy fries. A few lumps in the batter are okay; avoid overmixing.
