- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup strawberry puree
- Strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the milk and eggs, then add the dry ingredients to form a batter.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Use a piping bag to squeeze the batter into the hot oil, forming fry shapes. Fry until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
- For the dip, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and whipped cream until smooth. Stir in the strawberry puree.
- Serve the funnel cake fries with the strawberry cheesecake dip and garnish with fresh strawberries.
Notes
Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to prevent greasy fries. A few lumps in the batter are okay; avoid overmixing.
