A vibrant salad combining crunchy broccoli, sweet grapes, and a creamy dressing, perfect for lunch or as a side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 lb broccoli (cut into 1-inch florets)
- 2 cups grapes (halved lengthwise)
- 1/3 cup red onion
- 3/4 cup pecans
Instructions
- Prepare the vegetables: Start by cutting the broccoli into 1-inch florets. Then, halve the grapes lengthwise and finely dice the red onion.
- Toast the pecans: In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the pecans for about 3-4 minutes until fragrant and slightly browned.
- Mix the dressing: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar, sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Combine the salad ingredients: Add the broccoli, grapes, and red onion into the bowl of dressing and gently fold them in.
- Add the pecans: Just before serving, fold in the toasted pecans to maintain their crispy texture.
- Chill: Transfer the salad to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Keep pecans separate until serving to maintain crunch.
