Description

Delicious and fun egg rolls filled with creamy cheese and spicy jalapeños, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced (fresh or pickled)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing toward you. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of the wrapper.
  3. Fold the bottom corner of the egg roll wrapper over the filling. Then, fold in the sides and roll tightly to seal the egg roll. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully fry the egg rolls in batches until golden and crispy, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Remove the egg rolls from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.

Notes

For a healthier option, you can bake these egg rolls at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
