Description
Delicious and vibrant Red Velvet Brownies topped with creamy cream cheese frosting, perfect for any celebration.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- Cream cheese frosting (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper.
- Combine melted butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Mix them well until fully combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time. It’s important to mix well after adding each egg. Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring until the mixture is smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined to avoid tough brownies.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan. Spread the cream cheese frosting on top once cooled.
- Cut into squares and serve your delicious Red Velvet Brownies!
