- 3 medium ripe bananas
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 2 cups flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
- Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth.
- Mix in the sourdough discard until well combined.
- Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl and add them to the banana mixture.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl and gradually add to the banana mixture.
- Fold in the nuts and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Slice and serve once cooled.
