Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the sourdough discard until well combined.
  4. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl and add them to the banana mixture.
  5. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl and gradually add to the banana mixture.
  6. Fold in the nuts and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Slice and serve once cooled.
